Anna Borzi AM

Anna Borzi AM was an international investment banker, entrepreneur, award winning author, innovator, advisor to the UHNW, largest fund managers, heads of global financials, governments, industry bodies and broke many glass ceilings along the way. Working internationally, she travelled and experienced First Nations cultures. About which she is passionate, together with the planet. Raised in PNG, from villages to the capital, her siblings are from the PNG Highlands and PNG Southern Region. Her grandfather's father was Aboriginal. Awarded her Order of Australia, Member for contribution to financial services in 2005. Director, Chair.

Gobson

Gibson Gala

Gibson Gala is the inaugural winner of the 2020 Pacific Youth Leadership Pioneer Award, received at NZ Parliament, and sponsored by Pacific Business Hub. He is from PNG and has 15 years' experience in youth leadership at the village, local, regional, and international level - including One Young World Summit, Inaugural Global Intergenerational SEN Summit 2013, Asia Pacific Youth Parliamentarian, SIDS (small island developing states) Pacific Youth Network. He followed his passion for environment and the Pacific with global institutions, eg as the Ambassador of Pacific Youth to the UN. He is currently completing his Graduate Diploma in Geography and Masters of Disaster Risk and Resilience at Canterbury University with the Pacific in mind. Member Circle of Knowledge

Steve

Steve Jones AM

Steve Jones AM is a Yorta Yorta man passionate about giving back to his people. Chairman of i2i Global and Founder & CEO Daborra P/L, he enables aboriginal people and companies to succeed in the pursuit of business opportunities throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. He has lived and worked internationally. Steve spent 31 years in the Australian Defence Forces, achieving the rank of Colonel. He built a strong reputation as an outstanding leader and an expert in the fields of security, logistics and human resource management. In January 2001 he was awarded the prestigious Member of the Military Division of the Order of Australia. Director.

Peter

Peter Tuckey

Peter Tuckey has enjoyed a global and exotic life amongst many cultures as a youth, and is an exceptional renaissance man and raconteur. He has advised some of Australia's wealthiest in property development, orchestrated the development of major airports in Australia and advised internationally. He brings all this knowledge to us, with the benefit of his years of experience on the Boards of First Nations cultural entities such as BlakDance. BlakDance is the peak advocacy body for all of Australia's First Nations dance companies, and is renowned internationally where it regularly tours Australian First Nations dance companies to great acclaim. He brings immeasurable cultural knowledge and networks globally to our team. Director.

Terese

Terese Jarmain

Terese Jarmain began teaching on Andyamathanha country and currently lives and works on Wulgurukaba & Bindal country. She is currently Deputy Principal / Head of Special Education and has always specialised in primary. She is an Instructional leader within the Educational and Health domains promulgating a whole-of-school model for all students. She also specialises in engaging students who exhibit challenging to extreme behaviours, (which may include backgrounds such as RAD, FASD, Trauma) to ensure inclusion of all children. Terese will be supporting our young book events, as she agrees that we all have stories, children as well as adults. Bachelor Education, MasterClass 2019, Grad Cert. in Autism Studies, Scholarship Recipient, Masters Education Guidance and Counselling. Member Circle of Knowledge

Francesca

Francesca Afeaki

Francesca Afeaki has experienced a mixture of international travel and global cultures. From childhood, she was immersed in her Tongan culture and by age 12, she had toured Europe 3 consecutive years representing Tonga at the various Folklore Festivals (CIOFF). This early experience created her passion for serving her community through non-profit work, community organising, mentoring and planning events for education and tourism. She is driven to serve others who do not have the same opportunities she had by inspiring hope in the next generation. She was a former President of the Tongan Association of the University of Auckland (TAUA), sat on the New Zealand Tonga Tourism Association (NZTTA) committee, Vice President for the Alliance Française Tonga and is presently the Vice President for the Tonga Hairdressing Association. She has a bachelor's degree double-majoring in Pacific Studies and French from the University of Auckland. Member Circle of Knowledge.

Sisilia

Sisilia Eteuati

Sisilia Eteuati is an award-winning writer and is passionate about indigenous storytelling and assisting Moana writers to publish stories globally. Also, a co-founder of Tatou Publishing, conceived in Nov 2021. Within 3 months Tatou had brought together stories from 38 wahine writers and published Va - Stories by Women of the Moana which Sisilia co-edited with Lani Wendt Young. Và has gone on to be on bestseller lists on Amazon and in Aotearoa. Sisilia says this has only been possible by a "collective effort that reflects the way of our ancestors". She is also a lawyer who has practiced law for 20+ years across multiple jurisdictions including Samoa, Australia and New Zealand. She has worked internationally advising on international/administrative law, policy, governance, risk management, supervision, compliance and enforcement. Member Circle of Knowledge.

Peter Rockford Espiritu

Peter Rockford Espiritu is the Executive & Artistic Director of Tau Dance Theater (TDT), the only professional western form dance company based in Honolulu, founded by a native Hawaiian. Established in 1996, TDT is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable arts organization. The work maintains cultural identity in the face of globalization and urbanization, anchored in indigenous consciousness with a contemporary focus, native identity while supporting responsible evolution and global village awareness through neo-Oceanic fusion, indigenous futurisms and native pluralism. He is a Western Arts Alliance - AIP (Advancing Indigenous Performance) Fellow. His Põhuli Project is supported by a National Endowment for the Arts - Challenge America grant, creating a platform to explore decolonization through codification: The development of a vocabulary system for Indigenous-based movement on multiple technology platforms. He wrote the original libretto and operetta NAUPAKA: A Hawaiian Opera, translated entirely into 'ōlelo Hawai'i (Hawaiian language), listed in the Encyclopedia of Hawaiian Music Vol. 2. In exchange there are significant opportunities for the sponsors to achieve nomenclature rights, marketing opportunities, and media coverage. Sponsorship may be for the entire 2023 program, or a longer period, or for a particular region, or particular event, or particular Award, within the First Nations Writers Festival – Greater Pacific.
